All Mountain Liberation

The Escape is equally comfortable pinning down trails, ducking into the trees or taking a lap through the park. Edge changes feel relaxed thanks to its CamRock profile, making this board super accessible to a wide range of shredders. We've added a subtle 10mm setback stance to help it mow over bumps, slush and deep snow, along with carbon for high speed control. A fresh graphic ensures our number one quiver killer looks just as sick as it rides.

Key Features

  • The Escape's directional shape features a blunt tail and diamond nose that's super versatile from groomers to pow.
  • Carbon fiber is positioned between the inserts and the nose and tail – boosting ollie power and dampening chatter.
  • CamRock mixes classic camber between the bindings with rocker at the nose and tail. By shortening the contact edge, the board feels a little more relaxed – whether you're initiating turns or landing tricks.

WOW ! Out of this world !

I was shocked how the snowboard carved through the snow, on snow and ice, and powder. . . . everything that does it does so perfectly ! i highly recommend it !

Really nice look and ride

Really nice look and ride although I would like some more quality (please make a board made in Swiss )

Great board, shame about the durability

Echoing the comments of previous reviewers - I'm a big guy, and so the larger, wider board was great. The feeling riding it compared to my older, smaller Rossignol, was top notch - more secure, faster, and the flex made for excellent carving even on the steepest slopes. However, after only 5 days of use, it looks like an old board on the top, particularly in the wood veneer at the tail. There are several big chips and it looks like the veneer will peel away steadily from the tail end. I got my ten year old board out to check its condition and the top looks like new (let's not talk about the base, but that's my fault). A shame the top sheet is so (literally) flaky because otherwise this would be a fie star review.

Rides fine but fragile

This the first board I have owned after riding rentals for the past couple of years. It rides fine for my ability level and I'm generally happy with it, however I am disappointed with its durability. After only 3 days of resort riding I observed that the tail was starting to absorb moisture on the wood veneer top sheet and starting to delaminate and chip. By the end of the week there was a sizeable chip on the heel side near the centre of the board, again on the wood veneer. I was not involved in any collisions and only rode on piste in good conditions. Yes you expect some bumps and scrapes when battling skiers in the lift queues but I feel this material is not fit for purpose.

Ride is good, quality is not as good.

I decided to buy a new board after riding a Burton board for ten plus years. The Nidecker Escape was my choice when getting a new board. The board carves really well and holds edges well on the east coast ice. However the board started delaminating after a few uses and that allowed the snow to get between the top sheet and the wood. The board has about thirty days on it and this season will most likely be its last. I wasnt expecting 10 years from this board but this will be my last Nidecker board. Unfortunately I cant post photos here.
